Irene is a Partner of KPMG China with over 20 years of experience in providing audit and IPO services and more recently ESG advisory.  She has worked with a variety of industries including technology, consumer markets, healthcare, life sciences, robotics and ecommerce.
 
Irene also leads the ESG reporting and assurance team of KPMG in Hong Kong, advising public and private companies from sectors including transportation, energy, banking, infrastructure and consumer markets on a wide range of ESG-related areas.  These include materiality assessment, ESG strategy, climate risks evaluation and decarbonization, ESG/climate reporting and assurance.  

Irene is active in public services. She is currently the Chair of Finance Committee and Member of the Executive Council of WWF-Hong Kong, a Director of The Applied Research Council of the Government of HKSAR, a member of the Innovation and Technology Commission Venture Fund (ITVF) Advisory Committee of the Government of HKSAR, a member of the Financial Reporting Review Panel under the Financial Reporting Council of Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, a Board member of The Estate Agents Authority, a member of Venture Capital Committee, Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association and a member of the Advisory Board of Hong Kong Life Sciences Society.

Irene graduated from University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master Degree holder of Social Sciences in Sustainability Leadership and Governance from the University of Hong Kong.  She is a CPA, CA of Chartered Professional Accountants Canada, CPA of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institute of Directors.
