As a major hub for the global fashion industry, Hong Kong has a large role in tackling the industry’s Ecological Footprint. WWF works with various stakeholders in the industry to help Hong Kong become part of the solution to this global problem.
Fashion Summit (HK) brings together leading academics, key players from the fashion industry, NGOs, media, decision-makers and leaders to work towards achieving sustainable fashion in Asia. Co-organised by WWF-Hong Kong, CITA, HKRITA, Sustainable Fashion Business Consortium and Redress, the event enables participants to share experiences and exchange insights on the latest sustainable fashion trends, technology, best practices and environmental opportunities.
Due to ongoing social distancing measures, this year’s event has been split into several sessions.
Under the theme “Design for the Future”, three monthly sessions will be held starting on 25 September, with a craftmanship workshop organised by Redress and the Mills. This will be followed in October by a WWF workshop on upcycling marine litter at our Hoi Ha Wan Centre. The event wraps up in November with a Fashion Incubation session organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre and Redress and The Mills.
