The Big Bird Race has grown into a legendary challenge for local bird lovers. It is becoming a regionally important bird-watching challenge. The Youth Race for secondary-school students has been added since 2019. The youth race aims to help young participants learn more about nature in a practical and engaging way while grooming the next generation of bird lovers to take part in the conservation of Mai Po Nature Reserve.
We want everyone to have the chance to admire the beauty of nature and share the joy with friends and families

Jackie Xue
Big Bird Race 2026 Youth Race Moderator
Jackie Xue is a Conservation Officer at WWF-Hong Kong working at the Mai Po Nature Reserve. She is passionate about bird conservation and enjoys birdwatching as a way to connect with nature and people. Jackie is happy to support young birders as the Moderator for this year’s BBR Youth Race and hopes everyone will enjoy the event.
